Decor Inspiration-Lofts!

Happy Monday! Should make the most out of a rather drab day of the week (especially when you wake up to a pile of snow and ice, and the computer system at work is down for 99% of the day-hopefully tomorrow will be okay, and there will be no outages!)

Here is todays decor inspiration...Lofts!

I would really love to live in a loft. You know, those huge old warehouse turned living spaces you see in the movies. (yeah, one of those) Something with a lot of character, and open space. Something I can create a beautiful home and studio in at the same time without compromising one another.

Floor to celing windows would be a dream come true!

I like how the office space is elevated and seperate from the rest of the living space (it somewhat keeps work and home a bit seperate)

Again, love the big windows. And the open space

The ability to make "rooms" with furnature would be awesome! You could change your room size as you please.

I like how the bed is tucked away, underneath the loft balcony and could be hidden by curtains.

Decor Inspiration-Bursts of Color

I absolutely love bursts of color within decor. It adds brightness and happiness to the room!

I really want colorful shelves, but I don't know if I would be able to decide which color to paint them! (I like this one shown here, & yellow, kelly green)

And then, there are these shelves where the color is only on the inside (which is awesome!)

I would love this to be my dining room!
Yellow makes everything that much more lovely!

This celing is to die for!

Decor Inspiration-Zen

This weeks home inspiration focuses on creating a calm, cool & serene bedroom atmosphere following a zen theme. I want to have something completly different than what I am planning for the rest of the apartment. Somewhere that we can escape to. Somewhere to relax.

I really like the simplicity of this bedframe and how it is low to the floor

I love the color scheme of this room

Here are some color schemes I am interested in.
(PS this site is AMAZING for looking at different color schemes!)

I also would like to have an orchid on each of our night tables (probably fake ones though, just so they are "in bloom" all the time. And it would proably be cheaper to buy!)
I made a candle holder somewhat to the following (Mine is square, has the tiny stones, and 3 off white pillar candles all at different heights)

And as for artwork, I might get a blossom print of mine made up (I must go out in the spring to take more photos of the flowers!) We also have a "Zen" banner that Josh got for Christmas from my parents, so that is definitly going to be a nice focal point on the wall.

Have a wonderful week everyone!
