Home Inspiration-Pillows

I love pillows! {You wouldn't really know that about me because I don't really have any. But I hope to change that and make a bunch}

Here are a few that inspire me!

Home Inspiration-Collections

I am quite fond of collections, I have a few myself and want to expand on the ones I have, as well as create new collections. I personally like the collections that are small, yet make a statement.

My collections include: Owls, Dinosaurs, Vintage Cameras, Deer & Polka Dotted Mugs. I want to start collecting vintage kitchenware.

What do you collect?  Or what do you want to start collecting?

Home Inspiration

Today's home inspiration is Wall Art!!!

My cozy apartment is totally lacking in the wall art department (except a few band posters in a cluster by my husbands little computer/guitar corner) I do really wish to change the fact that I have no art in my house. I am actually a little embarrassed by it. Heck, I don't even have any of my photographs up on display either-sheesh! What kind of creative/art loving person am I? I guess maybe because I haven't found "The One" that speaks to me enough to purchase or put up.

Here are a few lovely pieces. Enjoy!!!

PS-All the sources link to the artists shop so you can support handmade as I truly believe it is a wonderful thing!

Have a great rest of the Monday everyone!!!

Home Inspiration-Bedroom

So as usual, my idea for a room changes 5 million times before I actually do any decorating to it. (Maybe that is why we have been here for nearly 3 years and have not decorated yet)

All that changed while going past this bed at Ikea the other evening...(I also love the dressers, but they need to have more color!)

I jokingly said it would be the perfect bed to make forts in...well then I started thinking and Yes! This bed would be the perfect bed to make forts in and how much I really do love this, and the ability to make a fort. Sure I am 24, but that isn't going to stop me from having fun.
Hang some pretty vintage sheets down the sides, hang some fairy lights and hide in there making crafts with my friends-there is no other way to spend a lazy weekend.

Also a great sun/heat shade during the HOT summer days, and a great way to keep warm on the COLD winter nights.

So then, my decor ideas for the bedroom changed. I guess the best way to explain the new plan would be...random. A mix of vintage and modern items, comfy, and colorful. A room where I can go that does not compromise creativity.

Here are some bedrooms/decor I like

Home Inspiration-Studio

This weeks home inspiration is studio inspiration. I am currently undergoing a studio transformation in my apartment to make a little section all of my own (might be a little hard when the area I am using is one of the ways to go to the living room (well, not for long! everyone can use the kitchen way-haha!)

So without further ado, here are some photos of where the magic happens!

I really like how this studio has a seperate station for the computer

This storage method is awesome! Everything is out, visible and not forgotten about (and stored nicely!)

Again, a big fan of storage in the open. I love the shelf too!

I love how open this studio is.
Someday, I wish mine to be in an attic or loft...

I love how all her little charms and findings are all so accessible right on her desk

Home Inspiration-Retro/Anything Goes

Welcome to my Home Inspiration segment of my blog. Today I will blog about living rooms. In particular, the one I want to create with ours.
I am definitly in love with h4ndz's living room! It seems as if it is an "anything goes" type style with some modern & vintage touches to it.

Here are some other photos/ideas I like that go with this style...

These shelves are definitly a favorite! It is a great conversation piece with plenty of shelves to hold vintage finds, arts & so much more!

This belongs in a studio rather than a living room, but I can see the globe and magazine holders looking lovely on display in a bookshelf.

I REALLY want this print!

Lockers as storage space would be AWESOME!...like REALLY AWESOME!

A bunch of random vintage signs clustered in one spot.

I would love to have a custom portrait done by Ashley G and Drew! They are so cute!

Vintage deer are a HUGE weakness! I would love to have a whole shelf full of them.

I am definitly going to make painted wooden letters somewhere in my apartment. I have yet to figure out what I will write, and where I will place them...

Once I get enough pieces of art, I think I will do a little art cluster like the following (probably behind my couch or above the tv, I'm still not too sure)

I hope you enjoyed todays blog post! I know I sure enjoyed creating it.
It also helped me a bit to figure out how to finally start decorating the living room.

Have a great Monday! And see you all again tomorrow with my style crush!
